What is an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships are work-based programmes designed by employers that are linked directly to job roles.

They give young people the chance to receive structured, high quality training in the workplace and the opportunity to work towards a nationally recognised qualification.

They are also a great way for businesses to develop a highly skilled workforce and boost productivity. 88% of employers who employ an apprentice believe that Apprenticeships lead to a more motivated and satisfied workforce.

Whether you are looking for an Apprenticeship, or are interested in taking on an apprentice, contact us at inbusiness@buckinghamshire.gov.uk or phone us on 01296 674449.

Please also download our Apprenticeship brochure.

More information can be found at: www.gov.uk/topic/further-education-skills/apprenticeships and you can download A Guide to Apprenticeships

Apprenticeship Standards comprise a number of different elements.  Many apprenticeships which we offer include an end-point assessment which is assessed in the workplace.  If an apprentice does not have current A*-C (or equivalent) grades for GCSEs, they will need to attend taught Functional Skills sessions.

We offer a wide range of Apprenticeships, including the following:
