Family Learning - Buckinghamshire Adult Learning

Family Learning

The Family Learning team run a variety of free courses and workshops in schools and family centres across Buckinghamshire, as well as online.

Our courses are designed to help parents understand how they can best support their children throughout their Early Years and at school.

In Family Centres we offer a range of Early Years courses and workshops for parents and their children up to the age of five years. These include, among others, Fun with Stories, Play and Learn Together, Story Explorers, Let’s Get Crafty and Little Music Makers.

In schools we offer courses that cover all aspects of English, Maths, Science, Crafts, Cooking, Supporting your Child’s Wellbeing and Internet Safety.  All our courses are designed to give parents more confidence in supporting their children at home, making learning fun and understanding new teaching methods used in schools.

Our courses are fun, practical and parents who start one course with us often choose to come onto more. Parents attending our courses are also encouraged and supported to start developing their own skills so that those who are thinking about returning to learning, or those who are looking to boost their skills in preparation for returning to work feel ready to take the next step to achieving these goals.
